*That feeling when you finish reading a romantic novel and you're like "Awwwwwh, who will be my Edward Cullen? :3"

"Star-Crossed Lovers" is a saying that people use to describe a couple whose relationship is constantly threatened by outside forces. The phrase was originally meant for astrological beliefs. Some believed that the positions of the stars ruled over people's fates. Personally I don’t believe in fate. Fate means that the event was destined to happen, that it was outside of a person’s control, supernatural in a way. I believe that a person should be able to control who they fall in love with. No one is “destined” to be with another. If you end up with a husband, it’s probably because you two have some stuff in common and you love each other...or you’re family arranged it. I don’t think that there was an invisible force pulling you two together magically. I think that the only reason some people believe in fate is because it’s nice to believe in something. I mean it’s nice to believe that in the end, you will find your match, because you’re whole life was a journey leading up to finding that one true love because fate was there for you. Sure, it’s a nice thing to believe, it’s portrayed in countless books and movies. But would you rather live a lie and wait for your fate to find you without knowing it actually will, or go out on some dates and make your future for yourself? It’s your life. You control it.

  1. I love your message! And I completely agree about taking control and therefore responsibility for your life and going out there to make stuff happen!
Keep an eye on your sentence structure! But other than that - good job!
